Assessed decrease in carbon dioxide
Actual current consumption
in systems of outdoor lighting of Tashkent with-out realization of offered CDM
project makes 65 548,5 MWh per year.
As a result of activity under CDM project, consumption in networks of outdoor
lighting of Tashkent will be decreased to to 21 403,8 MWh per year.
Thus, consumption saving will make:
65 548,5 – 44 144,7 = 21 403,8 MWh per year. At carrying out of power
audit, optimization of placing and choice of lighting devices - 856,2 MWh
(additional saving), Total saving will make – 22 260,0 MWh,
22 260,0 MWh per year х 617,0 kg СО2-equiv./ GWh = 13 734 t СО2-equiv./year1)
Annual consumption of automobile fuel (gasoline) at the enterprise for
opera-tional processes makes 493,6 tons of gasoline per year, including
for the works connected with detours of electrical engineers for check of
inclusion/switching-off of networks of outdoor lighting, manual removal of
indications of accounting devices and other works – 98,1 tons of
gasoline per year.
As a result of activity under CDM project, gasoline consumption will be re-duced
to 19,9 %, and will make 395,5 tons of gasoline per year.
Thus, saving of gasoline consumption will make:
493,6 – 395,5 = 98,1 tons of gasoline per year that corresponds 98,1
t per year х 2,99593 t СО2-equiv./t = 294 t СО2-equiv./year
The total reduction of hotbed gases (carbon dioxide) emissions as a result of
activity under CDM project will make: 13 734 t + 294 t = 14 028 СО2-equiv./year
