Base line scenario
Without implementation of
suggested project, actual energy consumption in the Tashkent city outdoor
lighting system will remain at the current level of 65 548 GWh per year,
including greenhouse gas emission resulting from the production of current
equivalent of electricity will make 41 922,2 t СО2-eq./year.
If the project is implemented without the CDM component, management and control system will not be able to record current value and voltage readings in the power grids of the outdoor lighting system, therefore, no quality monitoring will be possible.
Due to switching the power off for domestic consumers and state organiza-tions at the night time, the voltage in the outdoor lighting systems rises by up to 20% of nominal value, which causes the reduction of service life of lamps and the premature failure of about 5% of the total units number, or 6000 lamps per year
